For many aspiring artists, the dream of hosting a solo exhibition marks a major milestone—a moment of recognition, growth, and deep personal fulfilment. I was incredibly fortunate to reach that milestone with my first solo show, held in Hong Kong on the 21st and 22nd of September 2024.
The experience was a blend of emotions—exhilarating and humbling, joyful yet bittersweet. It came just a month before we were to bid our final farewell to Hong Kong, a city that has shaped so much of my journey as an artist and as a person. In many ways, the exhibition became not just a showcase of my work, but a heartfelt tribute to a place that had given me so much inspiration, support, and community.
While the exhibition carried my name, it was by no means a solo achievement. It stood on the shoulders of many—family, friends, mentors, and well-wishers—who walked beside me, encouraged me, and supported this dream in countless ways. From helping with logistics to spreading the word, giving feedback, or simply being there through moments of doubt, each one played a part. The list is too long to name everyone individually, but please know how deeply grateful I am.
The response was beyond anything I had imagined. More than 23 of my paintings found new homes—each piece now living on in the hands and hearts of collectors, friends, and art lovers. That, to me, is the greatest reward: knowing that my work has resonated, connected, and found meaning beyond my own canvas.
As I look back on those two unforgettable days, I am filled with gratitude. This exhibition was not just a personal milestone—it was a celebration of connection, creativity, and the many hands and hearts that helped make it all possible.
