Hong Kong

It was an honour and a moment of immense pride to have my work featured alongside those of my fellow artist friends at a very special exhibition held on the 18th of September 2024 at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre. This exhibition, thoughtfully organized by the Indian Consulate in Hong Kong and curated by Dr. Dharmendra Bhandari, celebrated the legacy of the iconic Indian cartoonist and illustrator, R.K. Laxman.
R.K. Laxman is a towering figure in the world of visual storytelling—best known for his creation of the “Common Man,” a character that silently observed and commented on the everyday socio-political landscape of India with equal parts humour, empathy, and sharp insight. His legacy has deeply influenced countless artists, myself included, and to be part of a tribute to his body of work was both humbling and deeply meaningful.
